Adam Dunn

Alright, I know this has been said before, but I’m going to say it again…Adam Dunn has sucked this year.  And I was a huge supporter of this signing!  I thought he was a great addition to the White Sox, but it just hasn’t worked out so far.  Through roughly half of the season, Dunn has 100 strikeouts, is hitting .173, and has only 7 homeruns.  In case you were wondering – No. Adam Dunn is not a pitcher.  He is supposed to be a .260 hitter and a 40 homerun machine!  What’s going on?  Is it his $12,000,000 salary thats messing with his hitting?  Maybe his wallets too heavy…I don’t know, I’ve never been in that situation.  I know he wants to hit and he’s working at it, thats not the question.  But I don’t know about his dedication in the off season.  He’s been pretty public about the fact that he’s never had an off season workout program.  But maybe he should.  He’s getting older, he’s out of shape, and he’s not producing.  What’s worked in the past may not work in the future.  Adam, please get your shit together or give me some of that $12,000,000.  I’d happily strikeout 1oo times through the 2nd half of the season for some of that cash.

Who could have known?

  1. Dunn is going to hit. He has been too good for his entire career not to. True he has been sucking, hard, but theres no way he can have big of a dropoff, considering he has never had a se3aon like this before, even early in his career.

  2. ^^^Don’t be an idiot! Dunn has slacked oof every offseason since he started and it is catching up to him. Other players are working their butts off in the offseason and trying to better themselves. Dunns problem is he is too cocky and thinks he is too good for that. Well apparently not. Worst free agent signing in Chicago sports history.

  3. Not the worst signing ever…but close. A few other terrible signings that come to mind are Ben Wallace and Alfonso Soriano.
