Cross Town Classic
What do you guys think? Does anyone care this year? I know I don’t. Who cares about bragging rights when both teams are so bad. And not only that, the other teams in this city have been on fire in recent seasons. The Bulls go to the eastern conference finals. The Hawks go 7 games in a great 1st round series, the year after winning the Stanley Cup. And the Bears make it to the NFC championship. Baseball in this city seriously needs to get its shit together if they want to keep any fans.
i dont know, im not a big baseball fan but i think its a pretty exciting series…so im definitely looking forward to it. theres just an energy in the city when the cubs and sox are playing eachother.
todays game was pretty entertaining, but seriously, how can you care about baseball in this city with the sorry excuses for teams we have? the other teams in chicago are seriously competitve. i dont know, i just cant get into it.
I’ll agree that the game tonight was entertaining and there is a bit of an energy in the city, but this year its just not the same. All the excitement with the other teams has definitely made the “cubs/sox rivalry excitement” almost non-existent. I remember a few years ago, both teams were in the race and I had tickets to the series at Wrigley. It was so exciting. The atmosphere at the game was unreal! I want baseball in this city to get back that level.
Honestly, right now no one cares about baseball in this city…….
