Celtics@Bulls wrap up
Chicago Bulls 93 Boston Celtics 86
The Chicago Bulls earned a very hard fought victory Thursday night against the Boston Celtics. The Bulls avoided their first regular season three game losing streak under Coach Tom Thibodeau with a big second half. Trailing the Celtics 49-38 at the half the Bulls came out on fire to start the third quarter. CJ Watson sparked a big 23-9 run by hitting two three pointers and temporary busting out of his four game slump. Chicago’s first half energy and intensity was really poor but they picked it up in the third quarter. Chicago used a full court press to force early Celtic turnovers. Luol Deng scored 12 of his season high 26 points in the fourth quarter while holding Paul Pierce to just 5 second half points. Chicago’s defense was suffocating and the Bulls did a terrific job at controlling the pace of the game in the second half. Rondo was a non-factor in the fourth quarter. Derrick Rose missed his 12th straight game. Rip Hamilton made his second straight start. Look for Rose to finally make his comeback this sunday at New York.
