Blackhawks Fan Channels His Inner Nameth
If you missed last nights Chicago Blackhawks beat down of the Minnesota Wild, then you missed a classic Joe Nameth moment. No it wasn’t anything to do with any of the players. It was during the “Shoot the Puck” segment between the 2nd and 3rd periods.
Greg Demena was selected to shoot and missed. During his interview after the shots, he told Comcast Sportsnet’s Sarah Kustock “I love you, Sarah. You’re so pretty and beautiful. I love you.” To which Kustock responded, “Thank you, you’ve got me all red and I don’t know what to say.”
Okay, so maybe it’s not as bad as an obviously intoxicated Nameth telling a reporter, “I want to kiss you.” However, it is still very creepy. I did not sound like Greg had been inebriated, but he definitely went in for the kill and got rejected. I don’t know what he expected Kustock to say. To all you out there with celebrity crushes, it’s probably not the best idea to confront them on TV and in front of a packed United Center.
The funniest thing about this is that he just kind of threw it in right at the end of the interview….couldn’t see it coming at all. He didn’t sound like he had been drinking or anything. He also had just finished talking about his sister, so at first it was a little confusing who he was even talking about. So funny.
